The Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites offers a selection of 51 romantic guest rooms. Our Garden Suites rest on two acres surrounded by botanical gardens of the original Heeser House Farm Building dating circa 1878. In our Garden Suites they are fitted with fireplaces, Italian marble vanities or private porches with panoramic views of the gardens. The Garden Suites are configured with a king, queen or double bed options, and select rooms are fitted with sleeper sofas. Each of the guest rooms includes complimentary WiFi, blackout curtains, a telephone, and Garden Suites rooms have televisions, coffee pots and irons with boards. These rooms are larger and more suited for families. All pet friendly rooms are located in our Garden Suites.

In the Main Hotel we feature Victorian rooms that offer a choice of one queen or one double bed. Select Victorian rooms provide direct access to common balconies. Our charming European rooms offer one double bed, in-room sink and vanity, and a shared bathroom adjacent to the room. Some European rooms have direct access to common balconies.

Our Ocean View 2 room suites are on the third floor of the Main Hotel and have an incomparable view of the Mendocino Bay. An incredible Ocean View two-room suite that has a comfy Queen bed with down comforters. These A separate sitting room with a sofa sleeper. Ocean view balcony – open the sliding door and you are immersed the intense view of the bay. This room has cable television, coffee pot decorated with a Victorian décor and charming marble bathrooms.

The hotel allows guests to cancel their reservation up to 72 hours before their scheduled arrival. However, if a guest cancels within this period, they will be charged a penalty equal to the cost of one night's stay plus applicable taxes. Additionally, the hotel will request a one night authorization hold on the guest's credit card used to book there reservation.

The Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites is centrally seated on Main Street in the heart of Mendocino facing the Mendocino Bay. We are a historic full-service hotel featuring exquisite gardens and spacious, well-appointed guest rooms. Our ideal location is nearby awe-inspiring forest lands, and State Parks.  Little River Airport is nearby, and larger airports like the Sonoma County Airport and San Francisco International Airport can be reached with a more extended scenic drive.  Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites keep guests close to museums outdoor attractions, shopping, restaurants, and the stunning Pacific coastline.

Due to Covid-19 our Restaurants and Bars are closed. 

We are implementing a 2-night minimum on Saturday nights.
A guest can enjoy a stay Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday stay.  

Complimentary coffee and tea are served in the lobby all day.  For the added convenience of our guests, we provide complimentary WiFi, complimentary self-parking, and complimentary newspapers are in our lobby.  Other comforts include concierge service, a friendly and helpful 24-hour front desk staff with secure storage for personal items at the front desk.

Complimentary parking is available for guests of the hotel in the Garden Suites.

Children and Extra Beds

Children are welcome [In our spacious Garden Suites more family orientated] Rollaway beds are available for a $20 fee for your stay.  

Please be aware that Children under 12 are not allowed in our European or Victorian room styles in the Main Hotel. Children are welcome in the Garden Suites.  

Pets

ADA defined service animals are welcome at the hotel.  We are also pet-friendly rooms. Pets are only allowed in particular rooms. These rooms are all in the Garden Suites lower floor rooms.  Pets are welcome for an extra fee of USD $40 for each night.  Please call to add your pet to your reservation.

Terms & Conditions

This property is privately owned, and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.  Once checked in, no cancellations.  All linens are inventoried: missing or damaged linens will be charged.  Any damages to hotel property will be charged an additional fee upon assessment. This is a NON-SMOKING facility. Guest acknowledges that smoking is not allowed in the guest room or within hotel facility. If anyone in the guest's party smokes in the guest room, guest hereby expressly authorizes hotel management to charge credit card the amount to reimburse the property for the additional cost of cleaning guest room.  If your reservation has been paid in advance or you elect to pay by cash, a security deposit via credit card will be required upon check-in and will be charged in the event that damages outlined herein occur.  A valid photo ID and credit card are both required at check-in. Hotel takes a credit preauthorization on the credit card provided at check-in.
